Privacy Policy
Respect for your privacy is one of our core commitments, which is why we pay the utmost attention to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation — Law of the Republic of Moldova No. 133 of 8 July 2011 on Personal Data Protection.

We recognize the importance of maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of your personal data ("Personal Data") and have developed this Privacy and Cookie Policy ("Privacy Policy") to explain how your Personal Data is collected, stored, used, and disclosed by “SIMPALS” S.R.L. (tax code 1004600001907, located at: mun. Chișinău, 28/1 Calea Orheiului Street), hereinafter referred to as "999TAXI" or "we," in connection with accessing and providing our services via the website https://999taxi.md. In all cases where required by applicable law, we will seek your freely given, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent for the processing of your Personal Data. By giving your consent, you confirm that we may collect, use, disclose, process, and transfer your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to periodically make changes to the provisions of this Privacy Policy. If we make any changes to this Policy, the updated version will be published on our Website and the date in the "Last Updated" section will be modified. We will also inform you of any changes made, so that you remain aware of how your Personal Data is being used. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will take effect on the date they are made, except for changes that require your prior consent, which will apply only from the moment your consent is obtained.

The main objectives of this Policy are to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of all information, including personal data, processed by the company — whether processed manually or within information technology systems and processes. Security is an integral component of the uninterrupted operation of IT processes within the company. Compliance with this Policy forms the basis of adequate IT security. It includes requirements and rules for protecting all information — including personal data, IT systems, and processes — from natural hazards, human and technical errors, as well as intentional actions that could cause material or immaterial damage or result in legal violations. Given that information security cannot be guaranteed solely through technical systems, this Policy also covers organizational, legal, and other aspects.
Personal Data Processed and the Purposes of Processing
1.1. Website Usage Data
The information systems and software applications used to operate the Website generally collect certain Personal Data (so-called “logs”), the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified individuals, but by its nature, through processing and integration with data held by third parties, it may allow users to be identified. This information includes IP addresses, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, device identifiers, and other parameters related to the user's operating system.
We use this data solely to obtain anonymized statistical information about the usage of the Website and to verify its proper functioning.

The legal basis for processing browsing data is our legitimate interest in improving our website, managing server capacities, and fulfilling our legal obligations related to the security aspects of our systems.

1.2. Provision of Services Through the Website
1.2.1. Personal Data of Drivers
a) Registration and Account Creation
To register and create an account, the following personal data is required: your full name, contact information (email address, phone number(s)), driver’s license data, professional certificate data, vehicle registration certificate data, taxi license and taxi badge data, transport license data, and your profile photo. The purpose of this data processing is to conclude a contract, create and manage your account within the application, provide our services through the application, issue invoices, and register electronic payments.

b) Use of 999Taxi Services and the Application
When using the application as a driver, your full name, profile photo, phone number, vehicle call sign, and taxi fleet information will be processed. We will also process your location data (geolocation). This data is only shared with the client of the Application after you have accepted their ride request.

The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the contract and the provision of our services through the Application. Refusal to provide this data will result in the inability to register and create an account in our Application, as well as the inability to access the services provided through it.

Additionally, in certain situations, the processing may also be based on our legitimate interests in protecting our business activities, provided that we ensure that any measures taken maintain a balance between our interests and your fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, our legitimate interest may involve taking steps to prevent and detect fraud attempts — including sharing information with competent public authorities — or measures for managing various other risks.

1.2.2. Personal Data of Clients
a) Registration and Account Creation
Registration directly in the Application: Within our Application, you have the option to register and create an account. In this case, we will require your phone number, country of residence, and email address in the event you wish to register a bank card or account. Additionally, once your account is created, you will have the option to grant access to your location while using the application — this is not mandatory and is done entirely at your discretion.
We do not collect or store any information beyond what is described above. As such, we do not process your personal bank card data or any other data you may share with our business partners through their websites or applications.

b) Ride Booking
When you book a ride through the Application, we process the phone number you used to create your account, your pickup location, and your desired destination. This information is shared with the drivers who are active in the Application at the time of the booking.

c) Payment by Bank Card in the Application
Users have the option to pay for 999Taxi services using a payment card from international systems such as Mastercard / Visa (hereinafter referred to as the “Card”).
If you choose to pay for your ride with a bank card, 999Taxi will not collect or store any information related to your bank card. Your bank card details are stored only locally on your device and are never transmitted to the 999Taxi servers.

Once your ride is paid for using a bank card, we will send you an email containing your trip history and the amount charged. The purpose of this data processing is to provide our services through the application.

The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the contract and the provision of our services through the Application. Refusal to provide this data will result in the inability to create an account and use the services provided through the Application.

Additionally, in certain situations, the processing of this data is also based on our legitimate interest in protecting our business, provided that we maintain a balance between our interests and your fundamental rights and freedoms. For instance, our legitimate interest may involve taking measures to prevent and detect fraud attempts — including sharing information with competent public authorities — or managing various other risks.

1.3. Provision of Services Through the Call Center
999Taxi provides clients and drivers with a dedicated call center through which you can send requests, file complaints, or ask for information — such as how to create a driver account, how to use the 999Taxi application as a driver or client, and other related inquiries.
The phone numbers for our call center can be found in the “Support – Contact” section of the 999Taxi application or on our website at https://999taxi.md

When you choose to use our services through the 999Taxi call center, we may record your call and process your voice, full name, and phone number. You may choose not to provide this information; however, in that case, you will not be able to use our services.

If you do not want us to process your voice through call recordings made via the 999Taxi call center, please contact us through an alternative method as described in Section 6.
The purpose of this data processing is to help us improve our services and evaluate the performance of our operators.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in protecting our business, provided that we ensure a balance between our interests and your fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, our legitimate interest may include taking steps to prevent and detect fraud attempts — including sharing information with competent public authorities — or managing other types of risks.

1.4. Recruitment for Company Vacancies
999Taxi regularly publishes job postings for recruitment purposes, which are shared on the company’s website, specialized recruitment platforms, or social media. If you choose to apply for one of our vacancies, we will process your full name, email address, phone number, home address, and resume. The purpose of this data processing is to contact candidates, conduct interviews, and consider them for employment with our company.
Failure to provide this data will make it impossible for you to participate in the recruitment and hiring process.

1.5. Commercial Messages
When using our application, you have the option to opt out of receiving commercial messages via email, SMS, phone calls, or push notifications. If you consent to receive such commercial messages, your email address, phone number, and device identifier will be used to send you promotional content related to 999Taxi’s activities and campaigns.
You may choose not to provide this data or to opt out of receiving commercial messages at any time. The purpose of this processing is to send commercial and promotional messages offered by us.

You may withdraw or change your prior consent at any time and free of charge through the application’s main menu or by sending us an email at info@999taxi.md.
The legal basis for processing your name, email address, and phone number for this purpose is your freely given consent.

1.6. Processing Inquiries or Complaints
If you submit an inquiry, request, or complaint, we will process your full name, email address and/or phone number, and, if necessary, data related to your ride.
You may contact us in various ways: via email, phone, or the contact form on our website. In such cases, we will use your personal data solely to contact you, address your issue, and provide the necessary support. The purpose of this data processing is to handle your inquiries, requests, or complaints.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in communicating with you and resolving your issues. Failure to provide this data will make it impossible for us to contact you and provide assistance.
2. Data Retention Period
As a general rule, your personal data will be processed for the following durations:
  • Data from the 999Taxi Application will be stored for as long as you are registered and maintain an active account in the Application. If there is no activity on your account for 12 consecutive months, we reserve the right to delete your account, including all personal data stored within it, which means you will no longer be able to access or use it.
  • However, rest assured that we will not delete your account if you have open transactions or are entitled to a refund or compensation from us. Prior to account deletion, we will contact you to ensure that you do not wish to continue using the account.

In certain cases, we may retain Personal Data for longer periods, for example, if we are required to do so by applicable laws, regulations, or for tax or accounting purposes.
We may also retain Personal Data for a longer duration to maintain an accurate record of your relationship with us in the event of any complaints or if we reasonably believe there is a likelihood of legal proceedings related to the processing of your Personal Data or associated transactions.
